About The T Room

Located at 2405 Honolulu Ave, Montrose, CA 91020, The T Room operates as a tea house serving Montrose in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Hours at these spots often run into the evening, later than a typical coffee shop, and many stay open on weekends when demand is highest in Montrose. Seasonal and limited-time drink or dessert flavors are common, so a shop's current menu can differ from what is posted online; checking recent photos or calling ahead helps. Some locations in California are dessert-only with no seating, meant for takeout, while others have cafe-style seating for staying a while. Straws for bubble tea are typically wide to accommodate the toppings, and are provided automatically unless you ask for a regular one. Loyalty apps and stamp cards are common at chain locations, and ordering ahead through an app can shorten a wait considerably at busy locations during peak after-school and after-dinner hours.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–3 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach The T Room at (818) 249-6677; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, the-t-room.com.

Customers rate it 4.5 out of 5 on Google across 206 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded tea houses in Montrose.

Montrose is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Montrose follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I finally had the chance to visit The T Room with my mom and 2 of my godmothers who were visiting from Northern California and it exceeded all of our expectations! I've been to quite a few afternoon tea experiences over the years (Tea House on Los Rios, The Huntington, Chado and McKenna's Tea Cottage to name a few) and The T Room is now easily one of my favorites. The service was exceptional! They have an extensive tea selection and every item on our tiered tray was delicious. At other tea houses there are always a few items on the tower that no one really eats, but that wasn't the case here. Every single bite was fresh and flavorful. Margo took such great care of us and we also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and her family! They were so warm, welcoming, genuinely kind and made us feel right at home. The ambiance is beautiful and they even have a lovely outdoor patio with more seating. I highly recommend The T Room for a fun afternoon with girlfriends, your mom/mother-in-law or to celebrate a special occasion like a bridal shower or baby shower. I can't wait to come back!!

The ambiance of the place transports you to somewhere in a different time. We came for a bridal shower and didnt want to leave. The food was absolutely delicious and the hot tea was poured in abundance. The egg salad on wheat was amazing! The owner and her team have hand-crafted a beautiful experience complete with an outdoor setting that's perfect for photos. I cash wait to go back.

Such a sweet experience. I went in with my 3 year old and Margo was so wonderful and treated my daughter like a princess. The tea was delicious and the treats were lovely! We’ll be going back!

This is our first time going here. The costumer service, food, and atmosphere were wonderful. The owner was so kind and thoughtful. I love how they had everything decorated. I would call and make reservations because they can get busy. The atmosphere was relaxing and they have a variety of tea. I would definitely go back.

Great experience for high tea in a casual setting. Super cute place. Chandeliers, teacups and saucers for decor, friendly welcome. The triangular sandwiches were delicious, especially the salmon and also the olivade. But they were all made with fresh soft sandwich bread, and quality ingredients. The scones were hot not dry but soft. The creme was perfect consistency, the jam was subtle, not too sweet. The top of the three tiers had a wide variety of tiny bites of dessert and fruit including cherries, we were so full we took all the dessert home and leftover sandwiches. There's a patio that's got a sweet garden vibe but you definitely know you are in a tea shop. The friendly sisters who run the place were sweet...and even pour your first cup of tea. I recommend the oolong golden if you like a subtle tea, or if you stronger tart flavor, try the hibiscus melba...it's a red tea. Plenty of free public parking across the street....we were there on a Sunday and there was a farmers market on Honolulu Blvd....we had to go around and past it in order to reach The T Room, not hard, easy. Best tea experience ever, better than those fancy hotel high teas. Highly recommend even when it's not M
